Incredible first finish, signed, numbered, and labeled Augusta Maine Tall Clock made by Frederrick Wingate.  This clock is an outstanding example of an early faux mahogany grain paint decorated case with original feet, fretwork, finials, tin can weights, and winding crank.  The American painted iron dial is from the Nolen school in Boston and is signed, dated,  and numbered by the maker.   This magnificent example combines the finest elements of the "Boston High Style" executed in the manner of the Country Maine Folk Art Craftsman.
