Here is a wonderful Burled Walnut Queen Anne Longcase clock, London mid-17th Century made by Richard Duck. The oversized eight day brass striking movement is constructed wtih a five pillar configuration. The composite brass dial with applied spandrels, chapter ring, seconds bit, calendar aperture and name boss in the arch. The case is constucted with Walnut and Burl Walnut veneer as the primary woods and Oak secondaries. Note the oversized, early cast brass strap hinges that retain the waist door. The bonnet is fitted with a "sarcophagus" or tomb top and adorned with blind fretwork across the faceboard. This clock was restored by A & A Gaines in Newport Rhode Island many years ago. The overall dimensions of the clock are 98 X 20 X 11 inches. The lead filled brass shelled weights are original and so are the finials, winding crank and pendulum.
