white-space: normal; orphans: 2; widows: 2; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\">Isaac Brokaw Colonial New Jersey Tall Case Clock circa 1790 made in Bridge Town (Rahway).\u00a0\u00a0 The case is a wonderful example of the &#8220;High Style&#8221; of the period executed by local cabinetmakers at work in the Elizabethtown NJ area during the late 18th C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The graceful, slender proportions of this case include: narrow waist flanked by fluted quarter columns, shaped waist door,\u00a0graceful\u00a0scroll moldings terminating\u00a0in fan inlaid rosettes, quarter fan inlay in the waist door and base panel continuing to\u00a0a &#8220;step&#8221; molded base all resting on original straight bracket fee\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The &#8220;step&#8221; molded base is an identifiable regional period detail often found in the Northern NJ cases.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The height of the case is just under 8 feet tall.\u00a0 The works are text book &#8220;Brokaw&#8221;
