Terry type movement, cast iron weight, original weight board with makers label and beat scale.\u00a0 Please see condition report above.\u00a0 This clock is listed as a No. 1 in some Seth Thomas Catalogs and a No. 2 in others.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Based upon the\u00a0design of the case and use of the round \u00a0S. B. Terry\u00a0clock movement together with the\u00a0“Thomaston CT” label and paper beat scale at the bottom, this clock can be described as an Early No. 1 Regulator and one of the first examples after the move by Seth Thomas from Plymouth Hollow to Thomaston.\u00a0 The inner molding on the bottom door retains most of its original gilding. The bottom is original and the weight has never gone through The dial and hands are original. Really a choice example.\u00a0 The clock is 34 inches long with a 12 inch dial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nCondition:<\/strong><\/em> \u201cAn original clock: dial, hands, cast iron weight, weight board with label w\/some minor losses, paper beat scale w\/some minor losses, glasses, bezel, frame, bottom. This is an early model with the round “SB Terry” type movement. The weight has NEVER gone through the bottom. There are your typical dings, chips, repairs, filling\/coloring that you find in a wooden clock case of this age. Bezel is veneered in good condition with minor repairs and some wave in the contour. Dial is wonderful untouched original minor losses at the screws and a couple of chips in the center. NO in-painting whatsoever. No extra holes behind the dial or works. Even has the original wooden dial support behind the dial. Pendulum stick and bob are original. Works professionally serviced, runs GREAT !
