<\/a><\/p>\nHere is a wonderful weight driven banjo clock by the renowned clockmaker from the South Shore of Massachusetts: Foster S. Campos. Foster was a master craftsman and a true gentleman. I am proud to have known him and called him my friend. This clock is one from 1997 and honestly there are not many around that have the special hand crafted movement made by David Lindow who made this movemeny before Gerhard Hartwig died in November of 1997.\u00a0\u00a0 When I showed pictures of the movement to David, he commented that these were only made in 1997, only a handful were made due to the high quality\/high cost and they were ONLY used by Foster in his special order presentation banjo\u00a0and diamond head clocks.\u00a0 This indeed is an extremely rare and collectible clock.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0From the timeline of David’s time working in the Hartwig shop and the passing of Gerhard you can clearly see that this movement was only made in 1997 and indeed very very few of these were made.\u00a0 The works have an incredible polished, mirror finish to them which is the signature work of David Lindow.<\/span><\/p>\n Foster launched his business after the death of Elmer Stennes and after the Estate Auction where all of the parts, moulds, tooling, etc.. from Stennes were sold. This is the “classic” Simon Willard timepiece with\u00a0hand painted\u00a0reverse painted glasses by Tom Moberg.\u00a0\u00a0 The cross banded mahogany frames, cast brass “Willard” eagle, and\u00a0 SPECIAL ORDER eight day brass weight driven timepiece made by Gerhard Hartwig\/ David Lindow. This clock is 100% original and it has a signed movement, signed dial, signed weight, die stamped backboard, and numbered case and frames. It was the 12 th clock that he made in the year 1997.\u00a0 This is a full size 44\u00a0inch banjo clock.\u00a0 S\/H\/I via Air Priority Mail fixed at $ 125.
