Frederick Wingate Augusta

Frederick Wingate (1782-1864) No. 288. Augusta, Maine. Birch w/Figured Maple & Mahogany accents. The case with narrow waist flanked by turned column, base w/ recess panel on original turned feet. The bonnet with arched top trimmed with fretwork (original with minor repairs). The American (Boston) painted iron dial with apples and raised gilt spandrel decoration, roman numerals. Untouched original signature: “F. Wingate, Augusta, No. 288”. Original tin can weights, finials. 85″h x 20 1/2″w x 10 1/2″d.
