High style Walnut Chippendale “full bonnet” tall case clock Philadelphia PA (Germantown) circa 1775. The bold case with inset carved scroll moldings, The bonnet door retains its original glass and note that the columns are integral with the door and not free standing. The arched “tombstone shaped” waist door executed in magnificent figured Walnut. The step molded base resting on ogee bracket feet. Eight day brass striking movement fitted to a composite brass dial with applied chapter ring, spandrels and “eagle medallion” in the arch. The makers name finely engraved in an applied ring that stretches from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock.  The clock is 98″ tall with a 13 1/2 ” waist section, 19″ wide at the cove molding and 10″ deep.
