Peter Little, Baltimore
Peter Little, Baltimore (1775 – 1830) was a clock and watchmaker advertising in Baltimore as early as 1799. He served in the militia and was an active Mason as well. He was an officer in the New Market Fire Department, a State Assemblyman, and a Delegate to the Democratic Republican National Convention. This example is Federal Mahogany Baltimore Tall Case Clock C. 1800. The bonnet with applied broken arch scroll top. The case with book-matched, figured Mahogany all on original ogee bracket feet. Eight day brass striking movement coupled to an early painted iron dial with an untouched original signature.
