E. Howard Boston

Here is an original C. 1925 E. Howard Boston weight banjo clock retailed in Boston by Bigelow & Kennard.  The dial is signed E. Howard at the bottom and the nickel plated works are die stamped E. Howard & Co. Boston.   This is an all original clock in very nice, clean estate condition.  The movement has been professionally overhauled and it runs great.   Note that the clock works retain the original “Geneva” winding stop which is a very nice feature to find as these were typically removed by people who did not know how to set them! The overall dimensions of the case are 41″.  Note the original gilded brass eagle finial that has never been cleaned or polished.   The weight has NEVER gone through the bottom and the internal protective tin covering the weight well and the bottom pan with original brass tie down remain in tact.    The pendulum, suspension, keystone, stick, and bob are original.
