Aaron Willard Dish Dial Shelf Clock, Boston, c. 1820, scroll-top mahogany case with half-round moldings enclosing the reverse-painted dial surround signed by the maker with lyre corner decorations: “Aaron Willard, Boston.” The lower frame houses a wonderful crotch Mahogany tablet, painted iron Roman numeral dish dial, brass, eight-day, time-only movement powered by a cast iron weight, all on wood ball feet, ht. 35 in. Numbered case frames, original weight board, original feet & finial. The reverse glass tablet has been repaired w/ inpainting and protective clear panel.
