Boston Massachusetts Mahogany weight driven timepiece w/ eight day “ear mounted” brass works. The single bridge movement with steel crutch & recoil escapement. Heavy painted iron dial with “arrow” markers at the quarter hour. All characteristics of the work of John Sawin, Sawin & Dyar etc.. The wood panels are original as are the reverse scroll side arms & acorn finial. Original bezel glass as well. All in all a nice example.
