E. Howard Boston

Walnut E. Howard Boston, No. 10, figure 8 wall regulator clock.  There were 5 sizes of this style clock offered beginning in the last quarter of the 19th century.  The No. 10 is the smallest size measuring 33 inches in overall length.   The clock is in an excellent state of preservation: first finish case, untouched original signed painted iron dial, works overhauled, original glasses, original weight & pendulum with engine turned decoration on the bob.  Signed 8-day weight-driven movement die stamped on the front plate by the maker.  Gilt decorated wooden pendulum rod.   Hinged door with original push button release.  Die stamped, numbered case parts.  All in all, a nice example.
