RARE Carved & 23 KT Gold Gilded Curtis Girandole Clock made by Foster S. Campos, Pembroke MA, No. 5, 2003.   This clock is 100% original and in excellent condition: no issues !   This is a “ONE OWNER” clock and a copy of the original bill of sale signed by Foster will be provided with the clock.   We have just completed servicing the works with a full overhaul in our shop and the clock runs great.   Comes with winding crank.   All of the parts are appropriately numbered.   Original Boston Harbor (Rowe’s Wharf)  reverse glass paintings.   The gilded  frames are trimmed with gilded “rosette” accent pieces, and the brass side arms are adorned with similar rosettes at both ends.   Wonderful carved and gilded flying eagle finial.   Signed weight driven eight day timepiece.  This is the “Special Model” as it is larger than the standard Girandole.  Unlike the Stennes version, this clock has an original gilded wooden bezel with gilded balls decorating the perimeter just like the original Lemuel Curtis Patent timepiece.   Overall dimensions: 46 X 12 1.2  X 4 3/4  inches with a 7 3/4  inch dial, 6 7/8 inch time track and 7/8 inch numerals.  We acquired this important timepiece from the original owner who purchased it from Mr. Campos in March 2004.   This is a very special, limited edition version of the Curtis Girandole and purportedly only about 12 of these were made!
