Seth Thomas Clock Company

Seth Thomas Panama C.1887 Walnut Wall Clock. Condition is Used. Nice clean example with signed dial, makers label, die stamped 8 day brass striking movement that counts the hours on a mellow, resonant cathedral gong.  The original painted dial is in outstanding original The clock features nickel trim inner ring along with an outer dial surround.  The wood stick pendulum rod presents a wonderful engine turned, damascened nickel plated bob.   At the bottom of the case is the Seth Thomas “black” makers label that shows wear commensurate with age and use.   On the back of the case is the April 1887 stencil case stamp.
