C. 1820 Lehigh Valley PA

Here is a lovely Pennsylvania Tall Clock from the Lehigh Valley, 95 inches tall, eight day brass striking movement that was completely overhauled by John Huyett. The locally painted American painted iron dial with floral decoration measures 12 X 16 inches with a 10 inch time track and 1 1/8 inch Arabic numerals. Bold broken arch scroll bonnet with carved rosettes. Tombstone shaped waist door flanked by reeded chamfered corners that continue to the base all resting on ogee bracket feet. The clock retains its orginal weights, pendulum, winding crank and finials !  The case has been professionally refinished and retains a warm patina.  All in all, a wonderful “high country” example.
